  • a ‘working with essences’ zine

  • references for capturing details about your essence

What you should bring:

  • water, and a snack if desired

  • something to sit on (a camp chair or blanket)

  • a writing utensil & notebook or paper

  • a clear bowl

Location: the class will be held on the west side of Golden Gate Park, exact location will be sent with class registration

Cost: $28-$48, sliding scale

  • an essence is a vibrational medicine ~ a collaboration between a person, a flower, water, and the environment. they are a preservation of place, a snapshot in time.

essences are subtle medicine, they are a gentle nudge. they offer an opening, an invitation, working to create small shifts over time.

unlike a tincture or a tea, essences don't contain any of the physical constituents of the plant (or any being, animal, tree, environment).

  • anyone excited about flowers and curious to learn more about working with their magic! you do not need to know anything about essence making, botany, or herbal medicine to join.

  • an essence bowl is typically made of glass or crystal. the size depends on what type of essence you’re making — for this class, imagine that it needs to hold some water and a couple of small blossoms. if you don’t already have an essence bowl you work with, don’t overthink it! it could be as simple as a quarter pint ball jar or as special as a crystal bowl from your grandma.

Registration will open on Friday, April 4.
